Radiant House

DAx2024: Dickson Architects have been appointed by The Langham Estate, as Architect and lead Consultant on a full internal refurbishment of two floors of prime office space in a Grade II listed building in Fitzrovia. Radiant House, built in 1915, is a stunning example of Classical Architecture, with a white faience and turquoise glazed brick façade that shimmers in the sunlight along Mortimer Street.

The circa 4,500sqft project, close to Oxford Circus, involves comprehensive internal refurbishment of two floors to provide large open plan offices with break-out spaces, tea points and private showering/toilet facilities. Scheme involves removal of non-original partition walls to express original columns and reinstate the original floor plan. Each floor is dual aspect, benefitting from full width glazing and an abundance of natural light.

Materials chosen to implement a modern twist on traditional finishes, with a fresh colour palette differing between levels. Heritage meets modernity.
